If you are an industry expert and would like to be on our list of speakers, please contact us. When our subscribers submit topics and the topic matches your area of expertise, we will reach out to you to speak as the industry expert. There are guidelines that you must follow when being selected as a speaker, such as presenting in a non-sales format, etc.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I submit a topic?
Any subscriber that has an account can submit a topic. Here’s how:
- If you don’t have an account, sign up. It’s free.
- Log in and go to your Dashboard.
- Fill out the form labeled “Submit A Topic”
That’s it!
Can I rewatch a Toledo Tech Talk?
Yes. Just log in and you’ll be able to re-watch all talks. They should be posted 1-2 business days from the time the Tech Talk is completed.
What if I don't want to be recorded on a talk?
You may need to wait for the Tech Talk to be completed and posted on our blog. Unfortunately, all talks are recorded. If you are not on the live Tech Talk, you will not have the ability to ask a question. We recommend passing the question on to someone who will be on a live Tech Talk.
If I sign up, will I receive sales and marketing emails?
No. We will not give your information to anyone for sales or marketing purposes. We will use your information to send you updates on Toledo Tech Talks. This could change in the future, so please keep up with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. But, the intention of Toledo Tech Talks is to NEVER use your information to sell to you.
Can I contact the speakers to work with them?
Yes! We will provide the speakers information on the Tech Talk. You can freely contact the speaker after the Tech Talk. However, during the Tech Talk, speakers are not allowed to present any information in a sales format.
What if one talk a month isn't enough for business owners?
If we begin receiving suggestions that we need to increase the amount of Tech Talks, we will begin considering holding more Tech Talks. We want to let Toledo Tech Talks grow organically.
What are the speaker guidelines?
If you are a speaker, you are will need to give a 15-20 minute presentation on a user submitted topic provided to you by Toledo Tech Talks. The presentation MUST provide an answer to the topic and actionable steps to solve the challenge. You are NOT allowed to use any sales languge such as “If you contact me, we will offer you a discount”, etc. The goal of a Toledo Tech Talk is to help business owners looking to get their business off the ground with a minimal budget. However, we can introduce you, your company, and your specialties. And you may also provide a short 200 word bio on you, your company, as well as your contact information, for the Tech Talk. This will be posted on the Tech Talk replay. If any subscriber would like to reach out to you to work with you, that is great and we encourage subscribers to do so, however, we do not condone utilizing a Tech Talk, itself, as a sales platform.
How many sponsors are you accepting?
Currently, we’re looking to fill only 8 sponsor spots. Maybe more later. Toledo Tech Talks is realtively new and we are still working out all the bugs. So, we don’t want to grow to big to fast and this free service become unmanageable. Please bare with us while we grow.
